    School Dress Codes:
    Positive or Negative Effects?

It's back to school time across the country, and students at one school in our area will have to dress the part this year. The Stroudsburg Area School District adopted a new dress code that will affect nearly 4,000 students between grades 5 to 12. Those who support the dress code say it will boost school spirit, safety and the learning environment. Those who oppose the new policy say it limits self-expression and doesn't improve learning one bit. Where do you stand on the issue?

    Apologizing for Slavery

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution apologizing to African Americans for slavery and the era of Jim Crow.
The non-binding resolution was introduced by Rep. Steve Cohen, a white lawmaker who represents a majority black district in Memphis, Tennessee.
While many states have apologized for slavery, it's the first time the federal government has done so. Also the resolution doesn't address the issue of reparations.
But should it? We'll talk about it tonight at 11.
